Public Access Feature?

In your FAQ area you have the following info… Is our team info private? If you so choose, you can also provide a public web link to friends and family so that they can access your team site. But you must specifically enable that level of “public access” on the Manager tab – it is turned off by default. We do this so that all team sites are 100% private unless specifically made public by their team owner. As a security precaution, however, even publicly-viewable team sites do not display private player info (like email addresses and phone numbers). If you have any questions or concerns about the security of your team site, don’t hesitate to contact us. .... Where is the feature to provide public access? I’ve looked on the manager’s tab and cannot find? Thanks |

Right now, the public access stuff is limited to the Schedule. If you go there, you’ll see an “Export” button at the top. From there, you can find public access in the way of RSS feeds, iCal calendars, and a public schedule link that you can send to people. There are plans for a more comprehensive public team page in the future, but that’s where the current stuff lives. |

Yep, that mention of a “public web link” where the manager can customize the level of access is a feature still being developed. Stay tuned… Cheers, |

OK, so I looked at the export page and saw the CSV, ical and public URL options, but nothing about RSS??? For example, say I had an external site that could read an RSS feed and format. In this case, say I wanted to read the RSS feed for the public schedule, format on the remote site and display. How can I get at the feeds coming from TeamSnap? What RSS feeds are currently available for public/external consumption. Thanks |

At the bottom of each page, you’ll see this: RSS feed available for staying up to date with this team’s games, events, payments, photos and messages. Learn more about RSS. That will take you to the RSS feed for your team. There is also an auto-link on each page for your RSS feed, so that you should see the orange feed icon in browsers like Firefox. Hope this helps! |
