We’ve just rolled out an update to the Photos section, which is now called Photos and Files. That’s right, you can now upload files to your team site as well as photos. Now if you have team documents, registration forms, charts, permission slips, whatever—it’s easy to store them on TeamSnap for your players to download. Happy Playing! Andrew @ TeamSnap |

I have already used this 3 times….it’s great! I’ve been able to show our balance sheet, our expense report and our list of names we are brainstorming. Thanks for providing this feature! It’s been easy for the members to find, too. |

We are learning songs for an upcoming cultural performance so I have been updating a file of the lyrics, just in case kids lose their copies. And they always lose their copies! Yeah, it’s very handy. |

You can already upload many files at once – after selecting your first file, just hit the “Add Another file” button, and a new file entry box will pop up. Do that as often as you need. We recognize the need for a little smoother interface for that, but due to the limitations of HTTP, you really have to go to a Flash solution to get around it, and our Flash-Fu is weak. Hope that helps! |

Yes Wade, technically you are right. But being able to “select more than one at a time” is really what I meant. You see in South Africa bandwith and speed is not always that good, so the uplooading of 1 file could take ….hmmmm 5 mintues. So being able to select a few files and then going for cofee whilst the upload take splace will be great. Regards |

The “Add Another File” button should work for you, if time is a concern. You just select all of the files you want to upload, hit the “Upload” button, and all of them should go. It seems like that would solve your problem. |

how about selecting multiple photos at once and uploading them rather than one at a time? This should be easy to fix. |

Unfortunately, HTTP uploads are limited to one file at a time. In order to support directory-based uploads, we’d have to switch to a Flash-type file uploader. It’s on our list, but no timetable is available at this point. |

Tangentially related maybe …what if I want to upload only one photo, but I want it to appear on a specific page, in a specific location (e.g. on page 2 between existing photos A&B). You know what I mean? This solves the problem where currently photos from games that occurred earlier cannot be organized in any other way than the order in which they were uploaded. Would be ideal to have the ability to organize or filter/ view by folders, or tags. |
