Need input on Ultimate stats

We’re in the process of creating a default list of ultimate stats for our new Statistics module (which is almost done). So the question is, what statistics should be included as a default set of stats for any ultimate team? Naturally, each team manager will be able to edit these stats categories to fit their specific team, so we’re just looking for the “default” set. Thanks for the help! Cheers, |

Hey folks, Huzzah! We’ve got Statistics pretty much ready to go. Before we release it to the general public, though, we need to do a limited beta test with specific teams. If you’re interested in participating in this limited testing, please email us at support@teamsnap.com and make sure to include your Team ID. (It’s the first number you see up in the URL when you login to your team.) Cheers, |

Ultimate stats are tricky because no one really keeps them. I would suggest that you start with points and assists for players and then an “over/under” stat like hockey to see how many points were scored for and against while that player was on the field. You could also track points played with that. It might also be interesting to track if the points were pulling or receiving points. |

UPDATE: We’ve got all the teams we need for our limited Stats beta. Thanks for all the help, and stay tuned for the full rollout of the new Stats module—it’s gonna be great! Cheers, |

In our current league, the stats are as follow: Score of the game and a spirit value accorded to the opposing team. Upon reception of the scores and spirit score from both captain for a matchup, the league managers update their own web site with the score of the matchup as well as the spirit accorded on a base of 10. The spirit is then calculated in the total points of the season to determine the leader of each division. |
