We’re in the process of creating a default list of baseball stats for our new Statistics module (which is almost done).

So the question is, what statistics should be included as a default set of stats for any baseball team? Naturally, each team manager will be able to edit these stats categories to fit their specific team, so we’re just looking for the “default” set.

The MLB site seems to have a good set of default stats defined. Does anybody know what all the acronyms mean? Is this a good template to use for our soccer stats defaults? (Looks like there are three categories: hitting, pitching, and fielding.)
